DeSoto County School Registration To Go Online

 HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) School registration in DeSoto County will be quicker and easier for the upcoming school year because parents can register their kids online.

Melissa Green, director of management information for DeSoto County Schools, tells The Commercial Appeal that beginning July 9, parents will be able to go online and fill out the registration forms on the district's website, desotocountyschools.org, rather than picking up the forms or downloading them.

Green says parents will receive electronic notifications about the new online registration by email the week of June 28.

Even though online registration will be available, Green said parents will still have to bring the required documentation to their child's school to show proof of residency.

Registration is for all new and returning students to DeSoto County schools.
